Drama ensued in Kirigi Primary School Embu County after a parent bit a teacher and two pupils.

Charity Wanja had reported to the school after her son was sent home for failure to complete homework.

Upon her arrival at the school, she went straight to the headteacher's office, Catherine Karimi.

It is said that a quarrel then ensued between the two, the headteacher and the parent.

During the argument, she then grabbed the headteacher and bit her finger.

While responding to the screams, two of the class eight pupils engaged in the rescue also ended up victims after Karimi attacked them thus biting each on their fingers.

Speaking at Kirigi police post on Thursday morning Wanja said she was fighting for her life after a crowd of teachers attacked her.

She further said her actions were stimulated by a series of unfair treatment of her son by the school teachers.

"My son is always on and off from the school. The teachers always send him home for no good reasons," said Wanja.

She also claims her son is never given the school text books which made it almost impossible for him to complete the homework.

On his side, Peter Rugendo the school deputy headteacher refuted the claims. He added that Wanja attacked the head teacher and two pupils.

"The parent failed to control her temper thus attacking the school headteacher and it's different from her claims," he said.

While confirming the incident on phone on Wednesday, the area Chief Lincoln Kithaka said Wanja was arrested on Wednesday and she's currently held at Kirigi police post.

"One suspect was arrested yesterday and taken to Kirigi police post after she allegedly attacked one teacher and two pupils at Kirigi primary school. The three victims recorded the statements and rushed to Kianjokoma level 3 hospital," he said.
