Athi Water's Patrick Musili moved to Kenya Water Institute

Patrick Musili has been moved from Athi Water Works Development Agency where he was in February appointed as the chairperson of the Board of Directors.

In a Gazette notice issued on Friday, Water CS Alice Wahome transferred Musili to the Kenya Water Institute and appointed him the chairperson of the Governing Council.

He will serve for a term of three years effective August 7, 2023.

"The appointment effected vide Gazette Notice No.8023/2022 is revoked," Wahome said.

In the new changes, the CS appointed Charles Kamau to replace Musili at the Athi Works Agency. 

"In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 (1) (a) of the Water Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation appoints Charles Kamau Karondo to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Athi Water Works Development Agency, for a period of three years, with effect from the 7th August, 2023," the notice reads.

Earlier, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro took to social media and congratulated Kamau on the appointment.

"Congratulations Charles Karondo on your appointment as the Board Chair of Athi Water Works Development Agency," he said.

The lawmaker said "Karondo is intelligent and well suited".

Wahome also appointed Mwololo Benjamin Kyalo as a member of the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority.

He will serve for a period of three years, with effect from Friday, July 28, 2023.
