Emotions have run high at a requiem service to remember victims of alleged police brutality at Karen.

The service at the Kalonzo Musyoka Centre is being attended by top Azimio leaders led by former president Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.

In well documented videos and photos, the opposition played nearly 50 graphic videos of the people that were killed by police officers during the anti-government protests.

During the service on Friday, Azimio also displayed some 80 names of the people injured during the alleged police brutality.

In turns, the Azimio leaders then lit candles and laid flowers at a podium in honour of the victims of police brutality.

Azimio had called for the prayers to remember victims of what they have said was massive police brutality during the countrywide protests called by the coalition to protest against the high cost of living.

The clergy have led the prayers at the SKM centre in Karen with all of them condemning what they termed as execution of innocent civilians.
