Embu Governor Cecile Mbarire has told his colleagues at Kenya Kwanza to stop worrying ahead of the Bi-partisan talks with Azimio la Umoja.
On Sunday, Mbarire said that as a member of the committee selected to hold joint talks with the Opposition, the agenda is very clear.
"I'm ready to go where you(Ruto) have sent me and Ichungwah at the bipartisan talks to talk with our colleagues. Don't worry, we are alert on our agenda because we have clear instructions from the President," she said at Sagana State Lodge.
Mbarire who is also United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party chair added that handshake will not be part of the talks.
"We are very clear on what our agenda is and we know the handshake is not part of that agenda," she added.
This week, Kenya Kwanza coalition unveiled its five members who will represent it in the proposed fresh talks with the Opposition side.
The delegation will be led by National Assembly Kimani Ichung'wah, Aaron Cheruiyot (Senate Majority Leader), Embu Governor Cecile Mbaririe, Hassan Omar ( EALA MP) and Bungoma Woman rep Catherine Wambilinga.
The team will join the Azimio delegation led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka with Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi, Eugene Wamalwa, Okong'o Omogeni and Malindi MP Amina Mnyanzi.
Kenya Kwanza emphasized that the team will engage with the Azimio counterparts on five issues.
They include reconstitution of IEBC; implementation of two-thirds gender rule, entrenchment of constituency development fund, establishment and entrenchment of the Office of the Leader of the Opposition and embedment of the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary.
