Justice Sergon honoured by peers following transfer to Kericho

High Court judge Joseph Sergon was on Wednesday honoured by the Milimani High Court Civil Division following his transfer to Kericho.

Justice Sergon was among 13 judges who were moved to new workstations in a mini reshuffle by the Judiciary on Tuesday.

The Judiciary said in a statement Justice Sergon will work in the same capacity at the Kericho High Court.

"Milimani High Court Civil Division and its Bar Bench Committee led by Presiding Judge Christine Meoli and Justice Asenath Ongeri, hosted a luncheon in honour of Justice Dr Joseph Sergon following his transfer from the Division at Milimani to Kericho High Court."

Among those affected in the reshuffle by Principal Judge of the High Court Justice Eric Ogola include Lady Justice Mugure Thande who was moved to Malindi.

She was replaced by Justice Chacha Mwita as the Presiding Judge at the Milimani Constitutional and Human Rights Division.

Justice David Majanja was also redeployed to the Civil Division from his post at the Commercial and Tax Division.
