Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has come to the defence of radio presenter and social media influencer Azziad Nasenya in light of persistent trolling on social media.

The sassy trendsetter and fashionista has been the target of trolls on socials as way back as 2020 when she first burst into the limelight courtesy of her infectious dance moves to the Utawezana song.

"Give this Azziad Kid a break. We cannot be a nation that destroys our best because we do not measure up," Ngunyi said in a Twitter statement on Tuesday.

Azziad's bullying has in recent days gotten more pronounced and at some point resulted in body shaming prompting her to take court action against the culprit.

Ngunyi posits that the talented content creator owes no one any kind of affirmation whatsoever over how she chooses to carry herself.

"And she has no obligation to validate her reality to anyone. What's wrong with you people? he posed.

In a recent interview at the height of the renewed cyberbullying, Azziad said she has no time for trolls since God was on her side.

"I'm a small girl with a big God. Without God, I wouldn’t even be here. Without God, I wouldn’t be Azziad,” she said.

Azziad said she never knew cyberbullying existed until her moment of fame in 2020 in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
