Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has said Kenya Kwanza should not be in dialogue with Azimio because it is disrespectful.
Speaking on Tuesday, Muthama said it is imprudent when the person that lost the elections is the one calling for dialogue.
He gave an example of himself, saying that there is no way he can ask for dialogue with Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti whom she lost in the gubernatorial contest.
Muthama who is currently a Commissioner at the Parliamentary Service Commission questions what importance the talks hold when they have their Kenya Kwanza agenda for the country.
He insisted that their focus should be on delivering what they promised to Kenyans.
"As someone who campaigned for this government, Muthama's (his) stand is we defeated Raila in the elections.
"He took us to the Supreme Court and our victory was upheld, now, he is asking the President for talks. Why should we have these talks yet we have our policies to implement?" Muthama said.
He added that he is behind President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and that they should not be intimidated by the Opposition.
While Ruto has openly backed the bipartisan talks, deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has been vocal about his dislike for the bipartisan talks.
He insists that it is a waste of time and the resources channelled towards the talks can be used to do better things.
The Kenya Kwanza side has been giving mixed signals over the talks since the bipartisan teams and technical teams were instituted.
