Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki will on Thursday afternoon appear before a House committee to update MPs on the security situation in the North Rift and Kericho-Kisumu border.

He is expected to brief MPs on steps to contain renewed clashes along the Kisumu-Kericho border.

The CS will also brief lawmakers on the progress made to end cattle rustling and killings by the armed rustlers in the North Rift.

Ruto heads to Baringo, Nyandarua for development tour

President William Ruto will on Thursday visit Baringo and Nyandarua.

The President's tour is part of his plan to intensify the national development agenda.

The Head of State will launch the construction of Maili Kumi-Shamata Road in Ndaragwa, issue several title deeds, and commission other roads.

Waititu graft case to proceed for hearing

The Sh588 million graft case facing former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu will be proceeding for hearing.

It's expected that counsels will be highlighting their submissions after the investigating officer finalised his testimony in the matter.

Police launch operation on electricity vandals recover wires 

Detectives have intensified a crackdown on a syndicate responsible for the vandalism of electricity transformers, cables, electrical apparatus and other electricity infrastructure in Machakos that have lead to huge losses to the government and electricity consumers.

To address the menace, a dedicated team of officers from the police is working closely with investigators based at the electricity distribution company, to stem this vice once and for all.
