President Ruto’s intense schedule in Kakamega, Vihiga counties

He will start his day by chairing a cabinet meeting at Kakamega State Lodge.

On his fourth day in the Western Region, President William Ruto’s diary is full.

The President will start his day by chairing a cabinet meeting at Kakamega State Lodge.

A number of Cabinet Secretaries had joined him over the weekend as he embarked on his development tour.

After the cabinet meeting, the President will head to Emuhaya Constituency where he will inspect Emuhaya Hospital.

The Head of State will then leave Kakamega and proceed to Vihiga County where he is set to groundbreaking construction of affordable housing near the Vihiga Law Courts, Vihiga Constituency.

Ruto will also commission the CT Scan Centre at Vihiga County Referral Hospital.

In the afternoon, the President will inspect Gisambai-Hamisi-Shamakhokho Road and launch two theatres at Hamisi Sub-County Hospital, Hamisi Constituency.

He will be accompanied by his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi among other leaders.

President Ruto will then make a stopover at Shamakhokho trading center, Hamisi Constituency to interact with traders.

He will close his busy day by presiding over the launch for construction of Mago-Mululu-Lusui Road, Sabatia Constituency.

After he was sworn in last year, President Ruto promised to complete all stalled road projects in the country. 

Ruto said his government wouldn’t start building new roads until all roads under construction are completed. 

"I understand that we have so many stalled road projects in the country due to a lack of money to pay contractors," Ruto said.
