Azimio leader Raila Odinga has insisted that his party will not entertain political infidelity.

Speaking in Migori on Friday, Raila said that loyalty and fidelity to a party are among the key reasons that make political parties grow.

He said going against party positions for cheap favours from those in power will not be welcome in the party.

“Loyalty, Fidelity and Love for one another are the three main reasons political parties grow… ODM shall not condone political infidelity in the name of some members seeking cheap political favours from those in power,” Raila said.

The former Prime Minister spoke in Migori where he is attending a meeting of the Orange Democratic Movement party delegates.

The opposition leader was accompanied by Azimio bigwigs alongside DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa and Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko.

Raila's tour of Migori comes hours after he cracked the whip and expelled rebel MPs who are supporting the Kenya Kwanza administration.

The five ousted are Elisha Ochieng’ Odhiambo (Gem), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Tom Ojienda (Senator of Kisumu County) and Phelix Odiwuor Kodhe (Lang’ata).

The party also expelled four nominated MCAs from Kisumu county.

At the meeting are ODM grassroots leaders from across all the constituencies in Migori County.

The delegates' meetings are seen as part of Raila's elaborate game plan to revamp grassroots networks as the party readies for the 2027 polls.

Raila has planned a number of activities in South Nyanza into the weekend to also fend off a frenetic push by Kenya Kwanza to weaken him.
