President William Ruto is scheduled to tour Nyeri County this Saturday for various projects.
At around 9.30am, Ruto will open a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Office located at Ruring'u in Nyeri Constituency.
He will later on launch construction of Burguret-Muriru Road at Burguret Shopping Centre in Kieni Constituency at around 10:30am.
The president will also address residents at Burguret Shopping Centre and hold a thanksgiving service for Energy and Petroleum Principal Secretary Alex Wachira.
The service has been scheduled to take place at Irigathathi Primary School in Kieni Constituency.
Wachira expressed his gratitude and anticipation for the upcoming gathering and urged people to come out in large numbers to welcome the head of state and his deputy.
He confirmed that Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua will be in attendance.
"Yes, the president and his deputy will be in Nyeri County over the weekend to grace my Thanksgiving mass at Irigithathi Primary School. The purpose of this event is to express our gratitude to God for the progress we've made, both personally and as a nation," Wachira said.
