A 77-year-old man was discovered dead in a lodging in the Mwala area of Machakos county.

He was with a 32-year-old woman when he suddenly collapsed and died, as reported by the police.

According to authorities, the incident occurred at a hotel in Masii market on Saturday evening.

The elderly man had booked the room together with the woman.

The woman rushed to the reception, saying the old man was gasping for air, prompting the hotel management to respond.

Upon arrival, they found the man lying naked and unconscious. It was later confirmed that the man had died.

Police who arrived at the scene discovered 25 sachets of sexual boosters.

The man had apparently consumed four of those sachets, which police suspect may have contributed to his death.

Four empty sachets were found at the scene.

The woman was questioned and then released to await an autopsy report, which will determine the cause of death.

Authorities have issued a warning against the use of sexual boosters to enhance sexual experiences, terming it a potentially dangerous practice.

Similar incidents have been reported and are often linked to the use of these boosters, which can lead to heart attacks.
