Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has called on county leaders to promote a healthy lifestyle by emulating Colombia's well-equipped and managed facilities.

The DP donned a black marvin, green jacket, black sports trouser and sport shoes.
He said productive high-level engagements require physical and mental fitness.
"In preparation for participation at the Seventh Producer and Roasters Forum in Medellin, Colombia, I took an early morning walk and workout at the Metropolitano Simon Bolivar Park in Bogota," he said.
He was joined by Bomet County Governor Hillary Barchok, Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango and the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Agriculture Senator Wahome Wamatinga.
"As leaders, especially at the county level, it was an opportunity for them to witness and learn the importance of well-equipped and managed facilities for the promotion of healthy lifestyles," Gachagua said.
"Such recreation facilities are also spaces for strengthening family ties. This is replicated across Bogota City. We need more of these facilities across the country too."
