The forum held under the theme of 'Green Development and Low-Carbon Life' saw leaders commit to greening their areas of jurisdiction as contributions to mitigate the effects of climate change.

"It is a breakthrough to establish a community of shared prosperity. Friendship cities will play an important role in achieving this. Our association is committed to promoting people-to-people exchanges. We are committed to do more," Yuming said.

For his part, Li Jie - Vice President of the Foreign Affairs Institute, said China has opened channels for international exchanges.
