Two Cape Verde Citizens were last week arrested at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport while in possession of a substance believed to be cocaine.

The two were arrested by hawkeyed Kenyan police officers under the Directorate of Criminal Investigations with the alleged cocaine substance valued at Sh150 million.

The suspects were destined for Turkey's Istanbul through Nairobi.

The war against hard drugs is yet to be won with all states globally be urged to take it as a priority to save future generations.

On 31st Aug 2023, four foreigners believed to be Tanzanian nationals were arrested and dozens of pellets suspected to be cocaine were recovered from their house.

The jailed Mexican drug kingpin Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán oversaw operations whereby mass cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and heroin were produced, smuggled into, and distributed to several States globally, destroying the future of upcoming promising generations.
