The meeting which lasted for hours, is said to have failed to agree on the proposed exit plan by the top honcho because of some financial arrears that he owes the party. The politico has indicated that he is on his way out of the party after falling out with some heavyweights within the coalition. The politician, who is said to be planning to join a big national outfit in the coming weeks, had been consulting widely over the last few weeks over his next political plans.

Details of a nasty fall out with some party members among them MP show that the big gun was unhappy with a decision made to have the party work closely with the government. In a recent virtual meeting, the influential big shot made it very clear that his resources will no longer be available to the party. He also wants them to refund some Sh2 million he released to pay staff salaries. The man has been spending a lot of time abroad where he is said to have relocated his family.

Unfortunately, the county boss had ignored the man for months since winning elections and even blocked his calls. A small bird aware of the governor's frustrations confided in Corridors that the last few days have been hell for him, after failing to find a clear path on how to get out of trouble with MCAs. He has scheduled a meeting with a party leader who has reportedly accepted to intervene but with conditions.

Was a governor misled by an audit firm over the number of alleged ghost workers in his administration? It has emerged the audit may have been a scam after the firm contracted confused the number of staff who failed to show up during a crucial head count and those who were actually validated during the exercise. The county boss is under siege after the alleged final list included people who were even leading the head count and other top county officials who were captured as ghost workers. So surprised was the county boss that he reportedly called an urgent meeting with his top officials to address the confusion that could cost him politically. It is also said that when some staff within the establishment realised they were victims of a list they were preparing, they prematurely leaked it, triggering a groundswell of uproar.
