A senior finance official of the Kenya Rural Roads Authority is at the EACC Integrity Centre where he is being grilled over graft in the road agency.
It is alleged that companies linked to him and his wife have been paid over Sh400 Million for road tenders by agencies in the road sector.
The Commission reportedly spent the day in his homes in Nairobi and rural areas for a search operation.
His office has been searched too.
The officer is said to be under investigation for millions of kickbacks from road tender deals at KERRA.
As part of the ongoing crackdown on the widespread corruption in Kenya’s road sector, the EACC is investigating various officials who have been using capital-intensive road projects to loot public funds.
