The Graft case against former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Ritich will proceed on Wednesday. 

Anti-corruption court on Tuesday heard two witnesses who testified in the case where Rotich and eight others are charged with Sh63 billion Arror Kimwarer dam fiasco.

Senior Principal Magistrate Eunice Nyutu presided over the case.

On Monday, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions said it might review the Arror and Kimwarer dams graft case as witnesses in the case are being released without testifying.

NADCO to proceed to Naivasha to draft report on public hearings.

The National Dialogue Committee is set to go for a retreat in Naivasha to draft a report after concluding public hearings on matters that ought to be addressed in the talks.

CS Duale to appear before MPs over injured police in Somalia. 

Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale will on Wednesday appear before Members of Parliament to answer queries on injured and deceased security personnel who went for a mission in Somalia. 

Duale will state the number of security personnel who have been injured or have lost their lives while serving in Somalia.

In Courts 

Two Mama Lucy Hospital social workers who were convicted of child trafficking will be sentenced today. 

A man will have to serve 16 years imprisonment for assaulting and robbing Sh500 from a woman in Nyasaba, Kiambu County.

This is after an appeal seeking to have the sentence revised flopped. John Mwanzia was first sentenced in a Chief Magistrate's court where he was sentenced to death but the High Court reduced the sentence to 16 years

Events 

Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya will hold a press conference on the lifting of moratorium on mining licenses. 

The press conference will take place at Works Building, Ngong Road Upper Hill from 9.30 am.

The National Assembly’s committee on Governance and Education is set to meet with Cabinet Secretaries for Education, Health, Treasury and the Attorney General over the ownership of Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital.

The meeting will take place at the Panafric Hotel from 10 am.
