President William Ruto is expected to chair a Cabinet meeting at the Kisumu State Lodge from 8:30 am.

This will be the first Cabinet meeting after last week’s reshuffle.

He reshuffled his Cabinet, a move that saw eight Cabinet Secretaries moved to different dockets. 

Kuria who was the Trade CS  was moved to the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management. 

Mutua who served as the Foreign Affairs CS is now the Tourism CS. 

Selection of police to be deployed to Haiti to begin.

The selection of the police officers to be deployed to Haiti is expected to start ahead of vetting and training.

Top bosses from the units affected will embark on selecting the officers who will be deployed to Haiti.

The move comes only days after the UN approved the international mission that will be funded by the US government.

Regional defence ministers recommend extension of troops in DRC.

Defence ministers from the East Africa Community recommended the extension of the region's forces' stay in the Democratic Republic of Congo until peace and stability is restored.

Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale said that the approval of the East African Community Regional Forces (EACRF) follows the gains in efforts to restore peace among the warring groups in the volatile Eastern DRC region.

Safaricom's latest sustainability report indicated it conducted 33 investigations into alleged fraud, dismissing the 33 staff involved in the offences.
