Thirdway Alliance party leader Ekuru Aukot has urged President William Ruto to walk the talk on his manifesto.
Aukot said that the Kenya Kwanza government had made huge promises pre-August 2022 elections but is not fulfilling them.
"The less President Ruto talks and promises, the better for this country," he said on Thursday during an interview with Citizen TV.
Aukot said that the President appears to be back on the campaign trail and is obsessed with populism.
He stated that Kenyans wanted to see the actions and not numerous promises which ended up not being fulfilled.
" Kenyans want to see action now that we are living in times when the cost of living is high," Aukot added.
Aukot highlighted that as long as the government continues perpetuating political lies, people will not keep quiet.
"Of course I want the government to succeed but there is too much talk. The President should not be using development as a camping tool," Auko said.
Over the weekend and early this week, President Ruto was in Nyanza for a four-day development tour in Kisumu, Homa Bay, Siaya and Migori counties.
Nyanza region is perceived to be the opposition chief Raila Odinga's Luo Nyanza heartland.
This was the second major and extensive development tour of the four Luo Nyanza counties since his election last year.
The first of such a high-level tour was in January when he traversed Kisumu, Migori, Homa Bay and Siaya counties, commissioning development projects.
Ruto has prioritised bringing down the cost of living, eradicating hunger and job creation, expanding the tax base, improving the foreign exchange balance, and promoting inclusive growth through interventions in five core sectors.
These sectors include agriculture, MSME development, housing and settlement, universal health coverage and the Digital superhighway and creative economy.
In Kisumu, Ruto launched the groundbreaking of the Kabonyo Regional Fisheries and Aquaculture Center of Excellence in Nyando.
The project is worth Sh1 billion and is aimed at enhancing food security, innovation, and employment in Fisheries and Aquaculture, benefiting thousands and contributing significantly to the Kenyan economy.
In Siaya County, the President launched the upgrading to the Bitumen standard of the 27km Bondo- Uyawi-Kibanga-Liunda Road and also launched a digital laboratory at Mutumbu Technical Training Institute.
While in Homa Bay County, Ruto spearheaded the launch of the construction of the 53 km Mfangano Island Ring Road and the upgrading to the Bitumen standard of the 74km Mbita- Sindo-Kiabuya-Sori Road.
In Migori County, the President launched the Last Mile water connectivity project at Kegonga, Kuria East, ensuring improved access to clean water and spearheading the commissioning of a tuition block at Rongo University.
