Trust President William Ruto to always choose his attire based on the event's dress code, he never fails.

On Thursday, Ruto attended the colorful Turkana Tourism and Cultural Festival in Lodwar town.

Representing the Maasai culture, President Ruto was dressed in a beautiful Maasai shuka that was in red and blue boxes.

On his neck which was covered in a white cloth, he had a red necklace made of beads 'Maasai shanga'.

On his head, he had a hat that was made of long feathers surrounded by other beautiful jewelry.

He was holding the Maasai rungu which almost every Maasai man walks with and sometimes they use them when dancing. 

He finished his outfit with Maasai 'akalas'. Seems the President was well prepared for the event.

President Ruto was the guest of honour in the event.

Before the main event started, several Maasai groups presented their dances donning different attires and beautiful jewellery.

Turkana County is set to host local and international visitors for the Turkana Tourism and Cultural Festival scheduled for 12 to 14 October.

Turkana Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai said the festival is meant to promote peaceful coexistence among the Ateker communities.

The Ateker communities include Turkana, Iteso of Kenya, Karamoja, Jie of Uganda and Topsa of South Sudan and Nyangatom, Merile from Ethiopia.
