The government has made adjustments to the physical addresses of ministries and state departments.
The changes were communicated on Friday by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei.
"We refer to the above subject matter and to the notification of Presidential Action of October 4, 2023. In accordance with the Presidential Action on the Reorganization of the Government of Kenya, we hereby notify you that the physical addresses for Ministries and State Departments (Ministerial Head Office) have been designated," the statement read.
Koskei said the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi has been designated to the Old Treasury Building Harambee Avenue.
The Prime CS, however, said in a statement on Facebook that his office will nonetheless remain at the Railways Headquarters.
"For the avoidance of doubt, the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs remains at the Railways Headquarters," the statement read.
According to Koskei, Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management CS Moses Kuria has been assigned an office at the Kenya Railways Headquarters off Haile Selassie Avenue.
Kuria was previously domiciled at the Two Rivers shopping Mall in Ruaka while serving as Industrialisation and Trade CS.
Some of the offices have retained their locations including the Attorney General's Office, Interior, National Treasury and Economic Planning, Defence, Roads and Transport and Lands.
Others are Information and Communication, Health, Education, Agriculture, Environment and Forestry, Water and Sanitation, Energy and Petroleum, Ministry of East African Community (EAC), the ASALs and Regional Development and Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs.
Ministries that were affected by the changes are the Cooperatives and MSMEs which have been moved to the Social Security House Block 'A' Eastern Wing, Sports has been moved to Talanta House and Tourism from Utalii to Social Security House Block 'A'.
Gender moved from Harambee House to Kenya National Library Services Headquarters Upper Hill.
Koskei said locating all ministerial head offices within government square seeks to foster synergy to expedite implementation of the Administration's plan for the nation - the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
"All ministries and state departments are directed to take note of their designated Head Office as well as the other ministerial head offices; and to thereafter make the requisite arrangements to secure compliance," he said.
