Kenyans seeking jobs abroad have been asked to develop a plan that will make their travel arrangements beneficial.

Sy Voyage Africa Manager Anastasia Platnova says there is a need for every Kenyan seeking to explore opportunities outside the country to also prioritise investing at home to safeguard their future.

"Many Kenyans want to go abroad, especially the young generation. We encourage Kenyans to go abroad but the most important part is to have a plan," Anastasia said.

"If you don't have a plan, you might end up having a Visa but you don't know what to do with the visa."

Sy Voyage Africa is a licensed travelling agency based in Nairobi, Kenya. They offer job opportunities for both skilled and semi-skilled workers.

"By your effort, you can make your life and maybe that of your siblings better," Anastasia said.

Anastasia who spoke on Saturday while giving visas to tens of her clients who had secured job opportunities in various countries said it is important to also work with reliable clients.

She said youthful Kenyans who are a majority of those seeking to explore the world must endeavour to work with trustworthy agencies who can secure their future.

According to Anastasia, one must ask hard questions regarding a particular agency before choosing them for their travel arrangement.

"When you choose an agency you must know are they reliable? Can they assist you with what you need? Are their phones going to be picked up? Are you going to find them on the ground? Do they have connections in those countries? do they work with embassies?" she posed.

During the event, tens of youths were handed their visas in readiness for travel.

Those who received their visas thanked Sy Voyage for swiftly processing their documents saying they are now ready to work on their dreams.

Her sentiments come at a time when Kenyans have been falling prey to agencies that have defrauded them of their hard-earned cash in the name of securing their job opportunities.

Many have ended up losing both their cash and job opportunities promised to these agencies which turned out to be fraud in the long run.
