Gachagua holds talks with youthful investors in Germany

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday held talks with youthful investors in Germany.

The DP met Florian Kraus and Max Lenz, youthful investors in the horticulture subsector in Munich, Germany.

Gachagua said they discussed developing a roadmap for deepening investment in fruit farming and processing in Elgeyo Marakwet and Baringo Counties.

The DP said that Kenya continues to seek and enhance partnerships in Foreign Direct Investment as part of a strategy for rebuilding a strong and resilient economy.

"We appreciate the fruit investment in Baringo County already, but we want to do more.  This is a matter of interest to President William Ruto's Administration in diversifying agro-production, especially in the North Rift," he said.

Gachagua said that the government is creating an enabling environment by addressing various bottlenecks in bureaucratic processes to ease FDI.

Leaders present included Baringo Central MP Joshua Kandie and the Mayor of Gersthofen His Worship Michael Worle.
