A 72-year-old woman died after a wall of her house collapsed on her following heavy rains in parts of Teso North, Busia.
The incident happened in Osea area, and left Felister Akumu Okwala dead on Wednesday evening, police and locals said.
The wall to her house collapsed following the heavy rains and winds.
Her four other neighbours were seriously injured and admitted to Kocholia Subcounty Hospital, police said.
They were admitted in stable condition while the body of the woman was moved to the mortuary.
Elsewhere in Huruma, Nairobi, a man was stabbed to death in a fight.
Residents in Mbuthia area told police they heard two people quarrel and fight and when they went to check on the same they found the deceased on the ground while bleeding.
It was later established he had been stabbed in the neck. Attempts by the residents to stabilize his wound did not bear fruits, police said.
The assailant is yet to be known to establish the motive.
The body was moved to the mortuary following the Thursday morning incident.
In Liboi, Garissa, a 45-year-old man was stabbed and killed in a confrontation with a suspected thief.
Police said the victim was attacked after he tried to stop a suspected thief from stealing generator spare parts from a public institution in the area.
The move by the deceased All Abdi Siyad prompted the assailant Khali Ahmed to attack him using a sword in Malayis Two village.
He died on the spot as the assailant escaped. The police were called to the scene and processed it before handing over the body to the family for burial.
No arrest has been made over the Wednesday evening incident, police said.
And along Tom Mboya Street, Nairobi, a 38-year-old man attempted suicide by stabbing himself in the right side of his neck.
The man picked a knife from an eggs vendor who was selling food near the scene and used it to stab himself twice.
He, however, did not die. He fell on the ground bleeding before he was picked up to the hospital for attention.
Police said they are yet to establish the motive of the drama. Police said they intend to talk to him after he recovers in hospital.
