King Charles III and Queen Camilla will on Thursday head to  Mombasa. President William Ruto will accompany the royals on their visit to Mtongwe.

They will visit Mtongwe Naval Base nestled in the Likoni area in the South of Mombasa Island across the Likoni Ferry Channel.

The King will visit the naval base as Captain General of the Royal Marines.

They will be in Mombasa on Thursday and Friday this week where security has been enhanced ahead of their arrival.

This will be the third day of the royals visit to Kenya.

Ruto's day two diary in coast

President William Ruto will today pitch a tent in Kwale where he will commission an electricity mini-grid at Wasini Island in Lunga Lunga.

He will also preside over the groundbreaking and inspection of Shimoni fish port.

Senate Committee on Roads to meet Kenya Maritime Authority to deliberate on the illegal diversion of training funds.

Four counties to face power interruptions 

Four counties will experience power outages on Thursday.

The Power company said the interruptions will occur at various times of the day in different counties.

The counties to be affected by power interruptions include Nairobi, Nyandarua, Kilifi and Mombasa counties.
