All Cabinet Secretaries will be in Mombasa on Friday as President William Ruto is set to hold a cabinet meeting.
This will be Ruto's first such meeting at State House, Mombasa since he became President last year.
The session in Mombasa marks the Administration’s fourth cabinet meeting held outside Nairobi.
The President is currently on a five-day tour of the coastal region.
On Thursday, he was joined by his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua as they hosted King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the Mtongwe Naval Base, Likoni.
State House had earlier explained why Ruto was keen on holding cabinet meetings outside Nairobi.
State House Spokesman Hussein Mohamed attributed this to the president’s desire to diversify the presidency and bring it closer to the people.
“President William Ruto has diversified the presidency and fostered closer engagement with the people in his aspiration to be more accessible and address their concerns without the need to frequent Nairobi," he explained.
The head of state recently chaired a similar Cabinet engagement in Sagana, Kakamega and Kisumu.
After the cabinet meeting on Friday, the President will go for a tour of the Moi International Airport.
He is later scheduled to preside over the taxpayers’ day and later issue community fisheries grants in the same county.
On Saturday, the President will be in Lamu where he will commission the Lamu East road before embarking on an inspection tour of the Lamu Technical Training Institute and the Bura Irrigation Scheme.
Also lined up in his programme is the commissioning of the Galole gravity water project and the issuance of community fisheries grants in Tana River.
On Sunday, he will grace an Interdenominational thanksgiving prayer which has been planned for Mombasa.
The head of state will wrap up his tour with an inspection tour of the Baricho water supply project in Malindi and commission the last mile electricity connectivity project in Ganze.
He will also tour Kinango Technical Training Institute.
