KPA announces 150 internship opportunities

The Kenya Ports Authority has announced 150 internship opportunities within the corporation.

KPA specifically stated that there are 10 vacancies for container terminal operators and 14 for conventional cargo operators.

Additionally, six positions are available in Information Communication Technology, Innovation, and Business Process Re-Engineering.

There are also nine openings for both Ferry Operators and Ferry Maintainers.

"Applicants interested in these opportunities are advised to submit their applications exclusively online through the Kenya Ports Authority career portal at this link: https://forms.office.com/r/PY22Dy13Hf," KPA said in a notice.

Seven positions and twelve positions are also available for Civil Engineering and Marine Engineering.

Furthermore, KPA has announced five vacant positions in Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, Project Development, and other roles.

"To qualify, an applicant must be a Kenyan Citizen not over 34 years, be an unemployed graduate from a recognised training institution who has completed a degree/diploma/certificate course and has not been exposed to any work experience related to their area of study since graduation, "KPA said.

KPA emphasised that all applications must be received not later than November 27, 2023.

The Authority is a wholly owned state corporation established through an Act of Parliament in January 1978 working under the Ministry of Roads and Transport.

KPA is mandated to manage and operate all scheduled seaports and inland waterway ports in Kenya.
