The Teachers Service Commission has mourned the death of Acting Deputy Headteacher at Handaro Primary School in Garissa County.

Ahmed Nur Ismail died on Tuesday, November 21 in a helicopter accident while on duty.

He died while distributing the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination material to various centres.

TSC CEO Nancy Macharia said Ahmed will be remembered for his distinguished worldclass teaching and school management services during his six-year employment with the TSC.

She described him as an outstanding ICT champion in Garissa County whose services will be dearly missed.

"On behalf of the Teachers Service Commission, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. We wish the family courage and peace during this time of mourning. Please accept our deepest sympathies," Macharia said.
