Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja's aide Osman Khalif was found on 21 November in Dandora, Nairobi, in an unconscious state, a court heard on Monday.

Osman reportedly went missing a fortnight ago.

According to his wife Yasmin Osman, he was last seen outside Sarit Centre Mall on November 10.

On Monday, Advocate Duncan Okatch told Justice Chacha Mwita that their client was found on the night of November 21.

"He was unconscious. Upon receiving medical attention, it's when his identity was clarified the following day," said Okatch.

"Where is this person? What happened?" posed the Judge.

Okatch explained that Osman is safe and sound having been released from Mama Lucy following treatment.

"He is now free," he said.

The court heard that a report was also made to Parklands police station informing the officers of Osman’s 'release'.

Okatch asked the court to grant them more time to agree on the way forward regarding the case but the investigative bodies wanted the matter withdrawn.

The Judge in his final directions said, "Now that he has been found and is alive, this matter will be mentioned on December 6 for further directions as the lawyer for the petitioner decides on the way forward,"
