Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly and blogger Robert Alai has asked Narc Kenya Martha Karua to lead demonstrations if she is unhappy with the Nationa Dialogue Committee report.
The MCA said that instead of Karua threatening Azimio, she should lead from the front and call for national protests against the report if she is serious.
''Martha Karua should mobilise and organise one major demonstration we follow her if she is uncomfortable with the NADCO report,'' Alai wrote on his verified X account.
Alai claimed that it would be unfair for Karua to launch an aggressive objection to the report yet she failed Azimio in her Gichugu backyard during the 2022 elections.
''We made her relevant again and she couldn’t even hire people to protect votes in her village polling station,'' Alai claimed.
During the last polls, Karua was among the Azimio bigwigs whose backyards did not deliver substantial votes to the coalition's presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
This is despite the fact that Karua was Raila's running mate and her nomination as the second in command was seen as a political masterstroke that would turn the tide against President William Ruto.
Raila's poor show in Karua's Mt Kenya region was seen as the bane of his loss at the presidential ballot to Ruto.
Alai challenged Karua to lead national protests against the ruling coalition against the issues she has raised including the cost of living.
''Let’s see her organise a resistance movement against Kenya Kwanza,'' he said.
Karua has termed as unacceptable the national dialogue report which made radical recommendations on an array of issues including the introduction of the Prime Minister's post.
Karua departed from the position taken by Raila and Kalonzo Musyoka and rejected the report as a fraud and a waste of taxpayers' money.
“It is a fraud which Kenyans should frown upon and reject. It is a distracting national smokescreen,” Karua said in a hard-hitting statement on Thursday.
Karua said the report did not address key issues that forced Kenyans to demonstrate against the Kenya Kwanza administration.
The cost of living, audit of the 2022 election and respect for political parties and multiparty democracy, Karua stated, remain their concerns which must fully be addressed.
"The findings of the NADCO report confirm that the committee was formed by the unwilling, composed of the incompetent to do the unnecessary," Karua said.
