UDA has been conducting mass recruitment exercises this year

However, the ruling party in November postponed its grassroots elections scheduled for December this year to April 2024.

UDA party Secretary Cleophas Malal said the decision was arrived at after a meeting with party leader President William Ruto.

“Following a National Steering Council meeting held on November 18  and chaired by the Party Leader William Ruto, UDA wishes to notify all members and aspirants that the grassroots elections initially scheduled for December 9 have been postponed,” Malala stated.

The former Kakamega Senator urged party members interested in the leadership positions to continue registering before the window closes on March 22, 2024.

“The elections will be staggered into three clusters, taking place April 12, 19 and 26, 2024. A detailed schedule outlining county clusters will be released in due course,” he noted.
