The MP who has opted for the governor's race come 2027 is said to be still keen on the plan but is watching the ground whether to vie or not. Furthermore, the lawmaker is said to be facing a ticket headache in 2027 as those who were contesting in 2022 are still in power holding the party ticket.

A senior state official was recently apparently forced to make frantic calls to save himself from what would have been an embarrassing situation. The man had reportedly entered a bar in his home town and ordered the management to serve revellers on his bill.  The man had supposedly bragged that ‘we are in government and we must spoil our people.’ At the end of the day, the bill hit Sh900,000 yet he had only Sh500,000 at the time. The management turned the heat on the customers, demanding payment. The officer had to apparently make frantic calls to friends who swiftly helped him raise the balance.

A renowned official of a political party whose fortunes have been dwindling in recent days could be facing troubles with the party bosses. The man reportedly recently bragged about how he was pocketing millions of shillings from the party and did not care about its performance in the elections. The party has performed dismally in the recent elections despite receiving millions from the government. The remarks, which he made at a pub in the city, have supposedly reached his bosses. Those in the know say the party honchos are angry and could soon summon him to explain himself.

Some officials from a county in Western are said to be using an affirmative programme to allegedly steal money from the devolved unit. The programme targets women from humble backgrounds but those enlisted as beneficiaries supposedly include employees of the county administration and other well-off women. A mole whispered to Corridors of Power that senior officials overseeing the project have purportedly enrolled relatives and friends who do not qualify to be recipients of the money from the county.
