Who's doing what to whom, why, when, where and how

A senior traffic police officer based in a Nyanza county has become in a thorn in the flesh to many. The officer, who allegedly rose through the ranks using his elder brother's documents, has been intimidating his juniors and bragging that he is untouchable. The brother in question, we are told, is a county secretary in one of the Rift valley counties. Those in the know claim that the cop is a Form 2 drop out yet in official files at Vigilance House he is a ‘graduate’. He was at one point investigated by sleuths from an investigative agency only to allegedly bribe his way. Cops under his command now want him investigated and, at the very least, transferred immediately before things get bad.

A former governor from Western part of the country is still living in denial after his term came to an end but still finds himself visiting the country premises and demanding to be given special treatment, including favours.  Top officials in the devolved unit nowadays avoid the man whom they claim is still issuing orders some of which are difficult to implement and puts them at loggerheads with their new boss.

Could there be a crisis somewhere? That was the question a senior government official was asking when he heard three retired ambassadors have been to an office of a senior politico with subject of the meeting remaining a highly guarded secret. The officer said there are fears there could be something serious ongoing but, as they say, time will definitely tell.

The new proposed bills in the National Assembly have created bad blood among some security agencies where top officials feel that the proposals are part of a scheme to undermine their functions. It is bad that insiders feel they have no blessings of the top leadership but are allegedly works of cartels operating within the corridors of power. They now want the President to wake up and stop the plans, or else he will have nothing to run.
