Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has wished President William Ruto a happy birthday.

The Head of State is celebrating his 57th birthday.

In a statement on his X page, Sonko wished him well and a blessed birthday.

He promised to buy the President a bottle of wine, tea leaves and honey.

"Happy birthday, Mr. President. May God bless you with a long life that's filled with nothing but love, peace, and happiness! I wish you a blessed and fun-filled birthday. May you rule Kenya for long. Nakutumia wine, majani chai na asali," Sonko said.

Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria wished Ruto well praying for God's guidance as he leads the country.

"When the Children of Israel reached Canaan, no one could even remember the pains and tears of the suffering in the wilderness on the way from Pharaoh's Egypt. May the Lord shower you with grace, wisdom, focus and fortitude as you continue guiding this great nation from Pharaoh's Egypt, through the pains and tears of the wilderness and on to the social economic promised land. Happy Birthday my friend and boss," he said.

First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto penned a heartwarming birthday message to his spouse.

Referring to the President as her cherished friend and confidant, Mama Rachel noted that they are also celebrating their wedding anniversary.

"Happy Birthday, Bill, my cherished friend and confidant. On this momentous day, as we celebrate your birthday and our wedding anniversary, I am filled with gratitude," Mama Rachel said.

Reflecting on the journey they have shared, Mama Rachel said she is  reminded of a verse from the Bible;

"There are three things that will endure - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love."

"1 Corinthians 13:13 Kwa kweli mambo ni matatu Your love and support have been a true blessing. Thank you for being a constant source of joy and strength," the First Lady said.
