The details of President William Ruto's flagship projects in the next financial year can now be revealed, even as the National Treasury unveiled a Sh4 trillion budget.
Kenya Kwanza has among other legacy projects prioritised works on the Nairobi-Mombasa expressway, a 485km highway expected to redefine road transport experience along that stretch.
The Ruto administration plans to finance the construction through public private partnership.
Treasury in the draft 2024 Budget Policy Statement says the road project is estimated to cost Sh554 billion.
