Police are investigating the murder of a man whose decomposed body was found on the roadside in Imara Daima, Nairobi.

The body was found in a ditch near Imara Daima railway station, police said.

It is suspected that the man found dead was killed at a different location and his body later dumped where it was discovered.

The exact motive and identity of the perpetrators remain unknown.

Local residents alerted the police after noticing the body, which was emitting a foul odor, in their area.

The police have yet to determine the identity of the deceased.

Upon examining the scene, investigators estimated the man to be around 30 years old.

He was found without any identification documents.

Notably, the body had visible head injuries, leading authorities to believe that he might have been struck on the head and killed in the incident on December 27.

The body has been transferred to the morgue where it awaits identification and an autopsy. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover more details about the case.

In a separate incident in Mowlem, Nairobi, a 26-year-old man named Simon Mbuthi was fatally injured in a conflict.

The police reported that Mbuthi was attacked in the Baraka area and initially taken to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, before being transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital, where he eventually died from his injuries.

Following the incident, two suspects have been apprehended.

The police are investigating the matter as a potential premeditated murder.

Mbuthi's body is currently at the mortuary, awaiting an autopsy and further investigation.

In another case, a Burundi national tragically passed away after collapsing in his bathroom in the Railway area of Ngara.

Asikinazi Hakuzima aged 28 had gone to take a shower in the bathroom where he collapsed and died on Wednesday.

Neighbors said he was immediately rushed to Parkroad Nursing Home where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police visited the facility and found the body lying in the hospital bed with a small mark on the right side of the face near the eyebrow.

The investigation into the incident is currently underway, with an autopsy planned to provide more insights into the case.

Meanwhile, in the Pangani area, a man succumbed to his injuries in the hospital after being assaulted by a mob during a robbery.

Police reports from the hospital indicate that the victim had sustained multiple head injuries and burns on his stomach, along with a fractured leg.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and police are actively investigating the matter.

In a separate incident along Jogoo Road, a woman was found dead in her house under suspicious circumstances, believed to be a case of murder.

Police noted that the woman was last seen entering her house with a suspect, who is now in custody, raising suspicions about their involvement in the incident.

Locals broke into the house and found the body of the woman aged about 36 lying on the bed and covered with a blanket.

The body had injuries around the ear, hands, face and back. The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
