Celebrations as schools in Kisii shine again

At Kisii school, 24 candidates scored A plain giving the school a mean score of 8.92.

Schools across Kisii have done it again, posting impressive scores in most of their provisional results in the examination released Monday.

Rigena Boys registered 17 As to lead the pack with a mean score of 9.5 9.

The Sub-County school had, however, registered only 115 candidates.

The scores in most other schools marked a shift forward in their scores.

There were negative deviations though especially in some known giants

At Kisii school, 24 candidates scored A plain giving the school a mean score of 8.92.

Rodney Mokaya led the pack with an A of 84 points

Eighty-four of his peers scored A minus.

A staggering 113 scored with more scoring B pluses.

At least 565 candidates sat for the examination.

School principal Fred Mogaka said some 44 scored grades that would take them to technical institutes.

At Nyabururu Girls in Kisii, school principal Joyce Orioki celebrated 9 A minuses and 47 A minuses.

Scores of other candidates fell in between Bpluses and C pluses

Only 80 of the total 702 that sat may miss direct entry to university, she said

"It was a clean score, integrity is our motto and I am happy with the girls," she told journalists during a visit to the school.

At Sironga Girls, in Nyamira, 7 candidates logged in A minus grades.

Scores of others attained Bs giving the school an 89 percent pass.

They reported a general mean score of 8.02 up from 7.6 in the last score.

School principal Eva Odhiambo thanked God alluding to good cooperation by staff as factors in the improved score.

At least 461 from the school attained entrance to university.

At Cardinal Otunga, in Kisii, by the time journalists visited the school, it had recorded 3 As.

The management projected a possible improvement in the main score by the end of the final tally.

At Riokindo Boys, still in Kisii, it registered 15 B pluses 177 Bs and 188 B minuses.

The mean score was 7.611.

At Moi High School Gesusu, one candidate scored A minus and 13 others A minuses.

The general mean score was 7.09, a positive deviation from the 7.05 in the last examination.
