A section of residents in the North Rift have entered day two without power.
In a statement on Sunday, Kenya Power highlighted that the affected areas include parts of Eldoret, Kisumu, Kakamega, Bomet, Kericho and the surrounding areas.
Explaining the cause, Kenya Power stated that there is maintenance work being undertaken from the transmission power.
“A section of the transmission power line in North Rift is currently unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances arising from critical maintenance works undertaken in a section of the line earlier today ( Sunday),” reads the statement.
“This has led to controlled supply interruption affecting some customers.”
However, Kenya Power noted that restoration works are in progress and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
