Police are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old woman whose body was Sunday found stuffed in a paper bag off Thika Road, Nairobi.

The woman was stabbed and chopped to death in an apartment along TRM Drive, Thika Road.

Police said they are yet to know the motive of the incident. The killers are said to have stuffed some body parts in a paper bag.

Police officers from Kasarani arrived at the scene and picked up the body to the mortuary for autopsy.This will determine the probe into the murder.

This comes weeks after the body of socialite Starlet Wahu Mwangi was found in an apartment in South B, Nairobi.

A suspect is in custody over the murder of Wahu.

In a separate case, detectives are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified woman, whose naked body was located in a river flowing through Kasarani.

The discovery was made on Saturday, January 13.

According to the police, the woman's body was found concealed in a sack with her arms and legs bound.

As of now, the identity of the perpetrators and the motive behind the crime remain unknown.

The police reported that the woman, whose body was found in the river in Lucky Summer, had sustained stab wounds on her neck, likely inflicted prior to being thrown into the water.

Initially believed to be discarded luggage, the sack retrieved by the police was later found to contain the woman's lifeless body.

Her remains have been transferred to the City Mortuary, pending identification and a post-mortem examination.

Nairobi's Police Chief, Adamson Bungei, noted that no arrests have been made and the woman's identity remains unknown.
