Police are investigating an incident in which a company manager was stabbed and killed in a fight at the firm in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
Police said they were called and informed the body of one Mohamed Osman was lying on the road along Sabatia Road.
The deceased had been stabbed by his junior following a misunderstanding and fight at the water distribution firm.
Police who visited the scene said he had a stab wound in the chest in the January 16 evening incident.
The assailant is a driver with the company. The two had fought at the firm’s loading centre, which prompted the fatal stabbing.
Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei said the assailant was arrested near the scene.
He said they are yet to recover the killer's weapon after the incident.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
Meanwhile, police in Kathiani, Machakos are investigating the murder of a 76-year-old woman whose body was found in a pool of blood.
The incident happened in Kaseve village and involved one Rose Mwangangi Kyalo.
Police said the body was found lying in a pool of blood with blood stains all over the house deep cuts on the head and blood oozing from the mouth.
According to police, a broken bolted rungu was recovered at the scene, which was believed to be a murder weapon.
The motive of the murder is yet to be established.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
Police area also investigating an incident in which a four-year-old boy was strangled to death in a village in Karaba, Mbeere South.
The boy was killed by one of his parents as he slept following a domestic quarrel on January 16, police said.
The suspect was later arrested in the same area, police said.
The remains of the child were moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
