Who's doing what to whom, why, when where and how.

A disgruntled politician from Mt Kenya, who was once a prominent opposition figure, is orchestrating a covert comeback to join the ruling administration. We are told the man with an acerbic tongue and who was the face of the camp in the last election, is no longer seeing eye-to-eye with some powerful individuals. Whispers of him being sidelined hence frustrated, have filled the air. The fellow is plotting a return to political prominence to save his image. Questions, however, abound on how he will be received in the new house.

Who is this lawyer who has created a bad reputation within the corridors of justice? The figure has mastered the art of allegedly soliciting bribes from clients with a promise of favourable returns and manipulating the scales of justice. Our mole says the learned fellow, whose track record is wanting, is a marked man and it is only a matter of time before he is smoked out. Some staff were overheard saying his behaviour is now likely to confirm the allegations against judicial officers if it leaks out.

A CEC holding a powerful docket in Nyanza county is under the scrutiny of investigating officers from a state agency. Details leaked of how he has been influencing contract allocation in various departments to his relatives and cronies. His image is so tainted that his colleagues have even raised the matter with the governor but no action has been taken against him. Maybe the county boss is a beneficiary of this intricate web threatening to sully the devolved unit's image.

A second-term governor has quietly relocated to the city. A small bird has whispered to Corridors that the man seems either done with politics or probably doing his last. He now wants to avoid political and public scrutiny. Perhaps he has forgotten that his role requires him to be on the ground dealing with the people. Hushed discussions  on the reasons behind the strategic move have been going on with some speculating on the governor's desire for a quieter, less scrutinised life.
