A couple has been admitted to the Isiolo County Referral Hospital after they were attacked by a lion on Wednesday.
The couple say they were out looking for firewood when the lion pounced.
Michael Apayu, one of the victims, said that the animal left bruises on his arms, legs, back and ribs.
He recounted that the animal pushed them to the ground.
"I used a panga that I had carried to chop firewood to fight the animal," he said.
"We asked KWS to address the issue and compensate them for the damage caused by the attack."
They have cited the medical bills brought about by the attack and said they also need to take care of their children.
There has been a recent surge in human-wildlife conflict cases with KWS urging Kenyans to report cases of attacks.
This comes a month after a 10-year-old boy was mauled to death by hyenas in Juja.
As Dennis Teya, a Grade 4 pupil, and his friends were making their way home, they were ambushed by marauding hyenas.
The incident happened when a group of 20 Kenya Wildlife Service officials were searching villages in the Witeithie and Kalimoni wards for the killer animals, which had been attacking locals for a while and killing people.
