CS Wahome fires two officers for aiding in grabbing of public land

She warned that any public officer found aiding in the grabbing of public land will be fired and prosecuted.

Lands CS Alice Wahome has fired two land officers from Nairobi County over allegations of aiding private investors to grab public land.

Wahome said one of the officers aided a private investor in grabbing public land while the other gave false information in a court of law that helped another private investor grab public land.

The CS putting on notice land grabbers warned any public officer found aiding in the grabbing of public land would be fired and prosecuted.

"We have an officer in the Nairobi lands office who I have fired for aiding in the grabbing of public land. Another one gave some false information to aid in grabbing. This will not be tolerated under my watch," CS Wahome said while addressing Thika residents on Friday.

She directed that no activity should go on the cemetery land that had been grabbed.
