This comes hours after she was reportedly appointed as Head of Communications at the Ministry of Public Service Performance and Delivery Management.

"The truth, which always sets us all free, has worked and I thank God for everything. Let us wait and see if the hand of God is revealing itself in my new appointment," Maribe reportedly told  Nation.

However, the Star was unable to reach Maribe to confirm the reported appointment.

Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi also congratulated her.

"Congratulations, Jacque Maribe. May God bless you as you serve Asante Moses Kuria for standing with a generation, please keep doing good and stretching your hand," he tweeted.

Maribe was acquitted in the Monica Kimani murder case on February 9, by Justice Grace Nzioka of the Milimani Law Courts, over lack of evidence.

According to Justice Nzioka, the charge against Maribe was not properly placed.

“It's my considered view that the charge brought against Maribe was not the proper charge. Evidence against Maribe didn't place her in the house of the deceased on the material night,” said the Judge.

Justice Nzioka faulted the prosecution for preferring the wrong charge against her.

Nzioka stated that the evidence brought against her only related to the September 20, shooting incident involving Jowie Irungu in which the court said she is liable for giving false information to the police.

During the defense hearing, Maribe defended herself saying she was with former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on that fateful day.

She denied any involvement in the murder of Kimani. She said she never knew her and had no motive to kill her.

She admitted that her phone went off on the material day but stated that it didn’t mean she had committed the crime.

"My relationship with Jowie then was that of cohabitation and helping him to get treatment after he was shot was a constitutional right,” she said.

The Judge in acquitting her said it was the prosecution's burden to prove her alibi defense.

In 2009, Maribe became a senior Political Reporter at K24 TV and worked until 2011 when she left for Citizen TV.
