The late Journalist Rita Tinina’s requiem mass will take place today at the Holy Family Basilica at 10 am.
The viewing of the body will take place at Umash Funeral Home from 7.30 am to 8.30 am.
They will then depart to Holy Family Basilica where the requiem mass will take place.
Rita's funeral is scheduled for March 27 in Narok.
The service and burial will be at their home, Noosupeni Farm Olokirikirai, Narok starting at 10.00 am.
Boyani Mokaya to be sworn in as Chief Registrar.
Chief Registrar Fridah Mokaya is expected to be sworn in today at the Supreme Court at 9:30 am.
Chief Justice Martha Koome will preside over the ceremony.
Koome on Sunday gazetted Mokaya's appointment as the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary.
The gazette notice dated March 19, 2024, was issued the same day Mokaya was appointed by the Judicial Service Commission to serve as Chief Registrar of the Judiciary for a five-year term.
DJ Joe Mfalme and group in court over death of cop.
A popular Kenyan DJ is among four suspects who will be arraigned following the fatal assault of a police officer.
They were arrested last week after the incident that took place in the Kikuyu area, Kiambu County.
The officer was based at the Kabete Directorate of Criminal Investigation office.
The four were detained by detectives from the Kabete police station who are handling investigations.
The Joint Communique.
The Joint Communique between the Fair Competition Commission of Tanzania and the Anti-Counterfeit Authority Kenya will today take place.
The joint communique will commence at noon at the Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA), Headquarters, National Water Plaza.
Court to issue directions on the Tecra Muigai inquest.
The court is also expected to give directions in the Tecra Muigai inquest case after the Magistrate who was handling the matter was transferred to Kibera Law courts.
Omar Lali is yet to give his testimony in the matter.
Last year, Tecras mother Senator Tabitha Karanja testified saying she suspected Lali could have had a hand in her daughter’s death because she could have refused to continue financing him.
Former PC Chelogoi to know his fate
Chelogoi was detained on Friday after pleading not guilty to six charges he is facing.
He is accused of defrauding businessman Ashok Rupshi Shah and Hitenkumar Amritlal Raja of a parcel of land measuring 7.390 hectares situated in Lower Kabete Road valued at Sh1.3 billion.
The former administrator had been directed to appear in court on Thursday morning for plea-taking but failed to show up.
