Senior military officials are today expected to tour the site of the crash in Marakwet East as investigations to establish its cause commence.

The crash claimed the life of CDF Francis Ogolla and nine others.

The Kenya Airforce has already constituted an air investigations team that will be tasked with conducting the probe into the incident.

Of particular concern to the team are the flight recording systems commonly referred to as black boxes that monitor the aircraft and cockpit crew.

Military black boxes are particularly protected from high speeds and loss during aircraft breakups.

Black boxes are bright yellow or orange.

The bright colour is used to assist in locating it after an accident. 

Alternative Justice Systems

The Deputy Chief Justice and Vice President of the Supreme Court Philomena Mwilu will officially open an Alternative Justice Systems Centre in Narok.

Governor Patrick Ntutu will be the host of the event.

AJS Narok Centre is a collaboration between the Judiciary and the county.

Haki Africa

Haki Africa together with the family of 27-year-old Jamil Jamal, who was allegedly abducted by armed men at his home in Kidogo Basi in Mvita, will today hold a press conference.

The family and the right organisation are demanding the release of Jamal.
