Over 138,000 IDs, 54,000 birth certificates uncollected – Huduma

The centre added that over 45,000 smart driving licences also remain uncollected.

Huduma Kenya now says that over 138,000 Identity cards remain uncollected across various Huduma Centres.

In a statement on Tuesday, Huduma said over 54,000 birth certificates also remain uncollected.

The centre added that over 45,000 smart driving licences issued by the National Transport and Safety Authority have not been picked by the owners.

Huduma has now urged the public to make a point of collecting the essential documents.

"Over 138K uncollected IDs, 54K birth certificates and over 45K uncollected Smart DL's at Huduma Centres.

"Pitia Huduma Centres uchukue document yako," the Centre said on X.

In February, Huduma said 226,247 uncollected documents remained in their procession.

At the time, 122,027 were IDs, 51,773 birth certificates and  52,447 Smart Driving Licenses.

Some of the services offered at Huduma centres include the issuance of driver’s licences, national identity cards, and the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).

Others are National Health Insurance Fund registration and claims, HELB–Student Loan Application and Repayments, Registration of Welfare Groups, issuance of police abstracts, single business permit and stamp duty assessment among others.
