Detectives are investigating the murder of a man aged about 40 whose body was found on the roadside in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
The body was found on Third Avenue by pedestrians on Wednesday night long after suspected murder, police said.
The motive of the murder is yet to be known. Police said the man had stab wounds in the head and back and the scene was the primary one.
Police picked up the body to the City morgue for post-mortem and identification.
Kakamega
Elsewhere in Makhokho sub-location, Kakamega, the body of one Wilbroda Aluta, 40, was found in a maize plantation.
Police said the body was dumped there with four deep panga cuts on the left leg and the right hand.
The head and face were swollen and had bruises all over. Police visited the woman’s house and established signs of struggle as household items were scattered everywhere.
Blood-stained clothes and broken pieces of sugarcane were recovered at the house.
The husband was arrested for interrogation while the body was taken to Kakamega Level 6 Hospital mortuary awaiting a postmortem examination.
Maringo
The body of a man who had failed to report to work for a week was found decomposed in his house.
Michael Dongo, 55 had failed to report to his place of work for a week prompting his colleagues to go and check on him.
His house was found locked from inside in Maringo area forcing the colleagues to break the door.
Police said he was found seated on the couch naked and unresponsive.
The body was moved to the City mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Santon
In Santon, Nairobi, the decomposing body of one Brighton Owino, 23, was found in his house.
Police said he was last seen on April 20 and had complained of headaches.
The body was found lying on a mattress and had decomposed, police said as they moved it to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
Timboroa
In Timboroa, Koibatek, the body of one Josphat Kiplangat aged 40 years was found at his rented house at Kahoya Centre.
Police visited the scene and found the body lying on a mattress on the floor without visible injuries.
Besides the body was a jiko with burnt-out charcoal which is suspected to be the cause of his death.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
