Azimio leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday met the Ambassador of the Republic of Algeria to Kenya Mahi Boumediene.
The Azimio boss said Algeria and Kenya share a similar armed war for independence and Pan-African ideals.
"The discussion morning centred on the fact that our fathers were the generation that fought colonialism and gave us the independence of our states. What can our generation claim to have done for the continent?" he said.
The two leaders agreed on the need to leave Africa's painful past behind and move the continent forward.
According to them, the two countries will move forward through trade and transformative infrastructure.
The transformative infrastructure includes Transcontinental railways, TransAfrica highways, African open skies and making the River Nile navigable from the Mediterranean Sea.
